Melissa Woody

A Bradley County native, Melissa Alley Woody has worked in local public relations and marketing since 1992, currently serving as vice president for Tourism Development at the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce.
Her community theatre credits include “Sue Ellen” in Honky Tonk Angels, “Grandma Tzeitel” in Fiddler on the Roof, “Miss Maudie” in To Kill a Mockingbird. She sang and danced in three productions of Red Hot & Blue: A Broadway Review, arranged and directed by Connie Gatlin. She can often be seen at various events and shows impersonating the great “Minnie Pearl,” the legendary “Loretta Lynn,” or the practically perfect “Mary Poppins.” She is involved in choir and drama ministries at First Baptist Church.
Woody volunteers with various community organizations including Allied Arts Council, Art is Here Partnership and the local historical societies. She loves to joy-ride, gather for family meals and sing loud.
